The Open Access principle is one of the most important initiatives for the development of science at the present stage. The Publisher of the Journal Philological Class uses the definition of open access formulated by the BOAI (, giving the readers the right “to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself”.

Articles in the public domain are published under the Creative Commons CC BY license, which provides a simple, open, free, legal and transparent dissemination of intellectual property results.

The copyright of the scholarly papers published in Philological Class belongs to the authors.

By submitting manuscripts for consideration to the journal Philological Class, authors confirm their authorship. An author is a person who has made a substantial contribution to the conduct of research. A substantial contribution can be made in the form of a concept development, collection of empirical material, procession and interpretation of the data obtained, or preparation of the text of a scholarly paper (for more detail see the section Publication Ethics Code).
