The tragedy of unclaimed love (V. Mayakovsky's poem "The Cloud in Pants")

Abstract: In Mayakovsky’s work, a special place belongs to the poem Cloud in Pants (1915): the main motifs of his early lyrics, characteristic images-symbols and keynotes came together here, techniques were found that later began to play the role of supporting constructs of his poetic world. Meanwhile, the poem still causes a lot of discrepancies, some of them provoked by the author himself.
