Elective courses in literature as a means of pre-profile training of students

Abstract: The author states that the actual problem of aesthetically undeveloped reader can be solved at school, in particular, by means of elective courses. In the article the kinds of elective courses are characterized, recommendations on their subjects are offered. The author supports the idea that elective courses are necessary not only at the senior school, but also on the average level as they are a means of preprofile preparation of pupils.
