Abstract: The conference focused on the problem of working out and developing methods of intercultural dialogue research in the spheres of Literature and Linguistics. In the course of roundtable discussions the following aspects were brought up: the relevance of the national cultures interaction issue; the problem of international conflicts and cultural dialogues; the postmodern idea of violence as a way of renewing culture (transgression).
