Modernism and avant-garde: affinity and difference

Abstract: The problem of a correlation of modernism and avant-gardism is considered in the article as a theoretical problem. Addressing to important names of the 1920th: B. Pasternak, M. Tsvetaeva, V. Mayakovskiy, A. Platonov - the researcher does conclusions about those lines of poetics which were formed in creativity of the most different artists. At the same time, those common features are marked which have united authors in front of the historical accident.
