Abstract: The article explores the existence and development of transavantgarde, a popular movement in contemporary art and a leading trend in the Russian literature. The study describes the specific features of the notion of transavantgarde, distinguishing it from the traditional avant-garde and post-modernist practices. The article also outlines the major vectors in which transavantgarde realizes its creative strategies, representing a wide array of artistic practices of contemporary Russian authors.
