Abstract: The article is devoted to problems of school practice of analysis of the novel “Fathers and sons” written by I. Turgenev. The study presents a new approach to this novel which is supposed to embody not only one conflict but several: ideological, generational, inner and love conflicts. The author proposes an innovative lesson structure with a special accent on debatable and analytical parts.
