Abstract: Article is dedicated to comprehension оf problems and poetic manner of Ermakov’s “Afghan stories” that allows to reveal author’s conception in description of Afghan war. Special attention is devoted to chronotope, motive system, an archetypal artistic figures and intertextual references.
