Abstract: The article is devoted to the comparative analysis of the three most famous works of the «pink» cycle: I. Myatlev's poem (1834) which marked the beginning of the «rotation of roses»; the lyrical prosaic miniature of I. S. Turgenev «how fresh roses were...» (1879) which immortalized Myatlev’s line and gave impetus to its endless interpretations; and one of the brightest replicas in the «dialogue about roses» - I. Severyanin's poetic miniature «Classic Roses» (1925). The convergence and repulsion of words, images, meanings - both explicit and implicit, subtext - makes the comparison of these works ideal for demonstrating the basic principles and complexities of intertextual analysis. The article presents several directions of comparative study of texts: consideration of direct and portable use of the lexeme «roses»; comparison of the time depicted (dynamics of the deployment of the lyrical plot) and depicting (the system of grammatical times of the verb); comparison of the subject structure of the text; analysis of the motivic structure manifested in the keyword system. Comparative analysis of the language of poetic and prosaic miniatures allow us to conclude about the different metaphorical meaning of the lexeme «roses»: for Myatlev, these are wonderful moments that disappear without a trace; Turgenev has wonderful moments stopped in memories and poetry; Severyanin in «Classic Roses» has a longing for the lack of contact of lyrical character with the present time, in which these «beautiful moments» live.
