Abstract: The article reviews a collective monograph devoted to the study of the subject structure of lyric poetry, and analyzes the main sections of the book, which examine both general theoretical issues and specific aspects of the problem (separate types of subjects, individual poetic systems, subject structure of a lyric cycle and an individual poem). The review reports a solid theoretical and methodological basis of the research and references to the works by B. O. Korman and S. M. Broitman, whose typology of lyric subjects is supplemented and refined by the authors of the monograph. The researchers address both classical and contemporary lyric poetry, but still pay more attention to the poetry of the 20th and 21st centuries. They introduce a new material for the Russian literary studies and demonstrate different approaches to the analysis of the subject sphere, including interdisciplinary ones. A conclusion is made about the relevance of the publication for modern literary criticism.
