Abstract: The research object of this study covers the communicative aspect of Russian spelling. The article highlights the role of orthological norms in the process of speaking. The aim of the work is to single out the typical patterns of influence of communicative factors on the functioning of spelling norms, as well as to design a practical teaching guide based on the undertaken analysis. The methodological basis of the study is made up of orthological analysis, classification of spelling errors (differentiation of gross and minor errors), as well as experimental methods, including the development and conduct of perlocutionary experiments using written material. The author draws on the analysis of speech mechanisms to study intuitive writing techniques (cursive writing, speed reading). In the course of the study, the results were obtained demonstrating the relationship between the regulation of spelling norms and the communicative needs of native speakers. It has been established that a deep understanding of speech mechanisms is a prerequisite for the successful acquisition of writing skills in the modern digital environment. The author suggests a classification of errors that allows for a more conscious approach to observing the rules, and also develops specific algorithms for conducting experimental linguistic research for use in scientific work with schoolchildren. The results obtained can be used in practical activities aimed at regulating the norms of the modern Russian language, in the process of teaching Russian at school (in particular, to increase student motivation), as well as in creating effective methods of improving media literacy, taking into account the specificity of spontaneous functioning of the language in digital environment. It is concluded that the communicative aspect of spelling exerts a significant impact on both the development of orthological theory and education process. The research contributes to the improvement of literacy teaching methods and opens up prospects for further research activities of schoolchildren under the guidance of their teachers.
